Nikhil Kamath’s Mother Revathi Kamath Praises Bengaluru Metro’s Convenience, Riding Women-Only Coach

Revathi Kamath, the mother of Zerodha co-founders Nikhil and Nithin Kamath, has taken to social media to share her experience riding the Bengaluru Metro. She praised the convenience it offers, particularly in the women-only compartment.

In a Facebook post, Revathi Kamath shared a photo of herself dressed in a pink saree from inside a Metro train, captioning it, ‘Travelling in the metro is so convenient and that too in the female compartment! #nammametro.’

This is not the first time Revathi Kamath has made headlines. In March, her sons gifted her a Mercedes GLS, reportedly worth over Rs 1.5 crore. The car was presented to her in a unique way, with Revathi Kamath receiving the gift dressed in a peta (turban) and shalu (shawl).

Revathi Kamath is an environmentalist and a veena player. She has been actively involved in social welfare, healthcare, education, and environmental conservation through her organization, Calyx Landscaping & Organic Farming.

According to her website, her organization has contributed to rejuvenating lakes and promoting organic farming. Her work has helped restore the flow of water and enhance biodiversity.

Revathi Kamath’s most notable feat is rejuvenating the Somanahalli Lake in Kanakapura, Karnataka. Her work helped recharge 300 borewells and 200 open wells.

In addition to her environmental efforts, Revathi Kamath has also played a role in improving education in rural areas. She has created new classrooms, built labs for science and computer education, and contributed to libraries.

Revathi Kamath’s work in healthcare has focused on providing support for jaw-related diseases. Her holistic approach involves not only covering the financial aspects of surgeries but also offering comprehensive support throughout the recovery process.
