Sun Pharmaceutical Industries was the top loser in the Nifty 50 index, down nearly 5% as Trump intends to impose 100% tariff on branded and patented drug imports. Other top losers included ICICI Bank Ltd., Infosys Ltd., HDFC Bank Ltd., and Mahindra & Mahindra.
On the other hand, Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Reliance Industries Ltd., and Tata Motors were the top contributors to the Nifty 50 index.
Vodafone Idea Share Price Slumps 9%
Vodafone Idea share price started to extend losses after the Supreme Court deferred the hearing to Oct 6. The stock was trading 7.37% down at Rs 8.04 apiece as of 11:24 a.m.
The company’s share price has been under pressure due to the uncertainty surrounding the Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) dues. The telecom operator has to pay a significant amount of AGR dues to the government, which has put a strain on its financials.

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. share price declined 1.30% to Rs 2,919 apiece. The stock has slumped 35% from its 52-week high.
