Corporate Actions This Week: What Investors Need to Know

Investors in the Indian stock market are in for a busy week, with several listed companies announcing dividend payouts, bonus issues, and stock splits. Vedanta Ltd., Power Finance Corp., Angel One Ltd., and Castrol India Ltd. are among the many companies that have record and ex dates for corporate actions lined up this week.

Dividends

On Monday, March 23, Castrol India, India Glycols Ltd. and Power Finance Corp will trade ex-dividend and mark the record date. Castrol India has approved a final dividend of Rs 5.25 per share. India Glycols will give an interim dividend of Rs 7.50 per share, while PFC has an interim dividend of Rs 3.25 per share.

Gujarat Intrux Ltd. will trade ex-interim dividend of Rs 7.5 per share on Wednesday, March 25.

Mining major Vedanta also go ex-trade for an interim dividend, continuing its pattern of frequent shareholder payouts. The amount will be decided by the board on March 23.

Bonus Issue

Kilitch Drugs India Ltd. and Times Green Energy (India) Ltd. will trade ex-bonus on Tuesday, March 24. In both cases, one free equity share will be given for every one held as on the record date, effectively doubling the number of shares held by existing investors without altering overall market value.

Stock Splits

On Wednesday, March 25, Avax Apparels and Ornaments Ltd. will trade ex-stock split in the ratio of 2:1. That means one equity share with a face value of Rs 10 will be subdivided into two shares of Rs 5.

Manbro Industries Ltd. and V2 Retail Ltd. will trade ex-date on March 27 to reduce the face value of shares from Rs 10 to Rs 1. That means one equity share will be split into 10.

Stock splits typically enhance liquidity and encourage broader investor participation.

Investors should be watching these dates closely, as such actions often influence near-term stock sentiment and trading activity.
